A strong victory for the Rams as they ran away 3-0 winners in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy against Raynes Park Vale whose team featured three former Rams in their starting line up.
Croydon opened the scoring with a goal from Kadell Daniel as he rifled one in from outside the box, the keeper had no chance as it rippled the top left corner. Croydon then found a second through Ronnie Vint after he nodded one past the Raynes Park Vale goalkeeper after a parried shot. Croydon picked up their third and final goal at the end of the first half scored by Greg Cundle as he calmly placed it under the keeper from the edge of the box to complete Croydon’s hat-trick of goals.
In the second half Croydon stayed in control and could have extended their lead through substitute David Bremang and Daniel who thundered one against the bar. But the game was won in the first half and despite Raynes Park managing a couple chances including hitting the bar themselves but the result was beyond doubt.
