On Saturday, 30th November 2024, Croydon Athletic travelled to The Staxson Stadium to face Sittingbourne in the Isthmian League South East Division. The Rams were eager to rebound from their recent 1-0 defeat to Three Bridges.

Sittingbourne entered the match in formidable form, having secured a series of commanding victories, including a 5-0 triumph over Steyning Town and a 3-0 win against Three Bridges.

The match commenced with both teams displaying attacking intent. Sittingbourne capitalised on their home advantage, taking the lead in the 15th minute through a well-executed set-piece. Croydon Athletic responded with determination, and in the 35th minute, forward Walter Figueira equalised with a precise finish.

The second half saw Sittingbourne regain the lead in the 60th minute with a swift counter-attack. Despite Croydon Athletic’s efforts to level the score, Sittingbourne extended their advantage in the 75th minute, making it 3-1. The Rams continued to press but were unable to alter the scoreline.
